Initiation Identify criteria for readiness assessment 4
Determine what key items will need to be in place (high-level view) for successful introduction of envisioned new capability and how they will be measured.
  Analyze organizational readiness to build foundation for change 4
Conduct an initial assessment of organization as it relates to readiness and conduct gap analysis to key readiness items.
  Identify and address negative influencers 4
As a result of doing the initial organizational readiness assessment, identify those individuals who are influential in the organization and are not "on board" with the program. Establish a plan to address both illegitimate and legitimate issues that are raised.
Acquisition Include key readiness areas in contracts 4
Based upon assessment results and gaps identified during the Initiation phase, include scope readiness areas for inclusion in the Systems Integrator contract.
Implementation Provide early and frequent introduction of new system capabilities to the organization 4
Expose the organization to the new processes via conference room pilots and process scenario walk-throughs. Use output and reactions to focus on key readiness areas. Engage all levels of the organization as appropriate throughout the implementation.
  Measure and assess organizational readiness 4
Measure and assess the organization and ensure buy-in, change acceptance, and other readiness factors. Implement a continuous readiness assessment process, with appropriate interventions, to assure the best state of readiness across the organization at system introduction.
  Report status 4
Report status (scorecard — red, yellow, green) to change management leadership and steering committee on a regular basis.
Post Go-live Assure final readiness of organization 4
Assure an adequate state of readiness exists in all areas (users trained, new organization structure, support desk, desktop environment, etc.) prior to launching the system.
  Continue to monitor and measure adoption of change 4
As change continues post system introduction continue to work change issues to assure continuous system acceptance and organizational transformation.
