Service Data Management

The Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Logistics Systems Management) and the Office of the Deputy G3 for Enterprise Integration tasked the exploration of Service Data Management (SDM) concepts by supporting the analysis, blueprint and build phases of a Proof of Concept to serve as a working reference model of the Service Data Management Technical Order/Technical Management (SDM TO/TM) COTS-based framework.

Service Data Management concepts focus on the creation, storage and distribution of technical data within the context of asset lifecycle management beginning with the fielding of the asset and continuing through the operation, support and maintenance of the asset. Elements of the Proof of Concept that are available in the EI Toolkit are summarized in the list below.
